Bio Brief:

The author William Stocks aka Coyote, is a lifelong resident of Dixon, Wyoming, a tiny hamlet in the Little Snake River Valley of South Central Wyoming, about seventy-five miles from Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

He graduated from Little Snake River Valley High School in 1970, and spent the previous school year as a full scholarship student at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. After graduation, he attended the fall semester at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, which marked the end of his formal education. From there, he has evolved through many types of work, into a blue-collar family man, with a kind of existentialist philosophy.

He is a member of the Steamboat Writers Group and has had his poems published in an Off The Beaten Path anthology titled Voices of the Valley.

A few works can also be found online in Thunder Sandwich #25.

In 2004 he was accepted into the Americana Poetry Consortium.

In May of 2005, his poem High Rollers was included on a CD produced by the Western Folklife Center titled Songs and Stories From Sheepherding.

In August of 2007 his chapbook Across the Longing Bridge was published by Pudding House Publications of Columbus, OH. It is a first collection of poems, covering a broad spectrum of subjects and feelings, which hopefully represent the natural talent and imagination of this unknown poet.
