Poetry Reading
For those of you who missed my poetry reading at Downtown Books in
Craig, CO, there's a link below to the live audio recording of the
entire session.
Carol
and Caroline were kind enough to offer their premises for this
promotional reading after my chapbook was published. About a dozen
people showed up, some friends from the Steamboat Writer's Group,
and Craig area residents, but sadly nobody from the Little Snake River
Valley attended.
I think my friend Carter Monroe said it best: "That's not
too bad for a poetry reading, especially on a Saturday afternoon when
there's a football game on."
Be
forewarned it is a large file (about 160 Mb) and will take some time
to listen to it all, but it should stream from the link if
you have a broadband connection and play directly into iTunes or
Windows Media Player.
I
recorded it live on my laptop, so you will hear the cooling fan kick
on at times, and there is also an incessant clicking noise which is the
hard disk drive activity of the recording process. If you can get past
those annoyances, I hope you enjoy all the poetry.
